Alpha Underground box set

Alpha Underground box setI decided to splurge and get an entirely new cover made for my Alpha Underground box set…and it’s gorgeous! In the meantime, the rest of the series (including the box set) has now rolled out to all major retailers.

So if you’ve been waiting patiently to read Fen’s story on Nook, iBooks, Kobo, Google Play, or Smashwords, you’re finally good to go. Find the Alpha Underground Series on your favorite retailer here

For non-Amazon readers — thank you so much for your patience! I hope you enjoy reading the stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Lone Wolf Dawn cover reveal

Lone Wolf Dawn

Book two in the Alpha Underground series, Lone Wolf Dawn, will go live on Amazon in late June or early July. I’m about 70% of the way through writing the first draft, so I figured I deserved a cover to keep me pounding away at the keyboard a little longer.

Enter Rebecca Frank‘s amazing rendition of Fen’s growing powers. What do you think?

And while I have your attention, I’d be curious to hear your feedback on book three’s title. Would you be intrigued enough to pick up a book called Wolf Landing? If you love it or hate it, I hope you’ll share your thoughts in the comments below.

Shapeshifting witch

Shapeshifting Witch

I caught an exhibit of Lillian Trettin‘s work recently and couldn’t resist sharing this intricate collage depicting a shapeshifting witch. Since a lot of Trettin’s work is based on Native American and Appalachian folklore, I suspect this is meant to depict skinwalkers —- the Native American version of shapeshifters. What do you think?

New covers

Wolf Rampant Covers

I celebrated hitting the USA Today bestseller list by adding the tag to all of my covers. And, while I was at it, I upgraded the Wolf Rampant paperback covers from the old version to these new beautiful designs by Rebecca Frank.

This photo doesn’t quite do them justice — I’m not good enough at photography to get a good shot of glossy covers with inside lighting. But trust me, they’re so pretty I lined them up and stared at them for a full minute murmuring “My precious.”

But finally I had to force myself to put them away. After all, Fen is currently in figurative hot water and needs to find a way to swim to shore. Back to work on Packless!

Which cover hits the spot?

Best-selling urban fantasy covers

I’ve got a tough question for you today. If you’d never heard of any of the authors pictured above (a hard thought-experiment, I know), which of these covers would grab you instantly?

Personally, my favorites are Wind Burn, Grave Visions, and Gifted Thief. Actually, I can tell you that I picked up a copy of Gifted Thief on the basis of the cover alone.

I hope you’ll comment and share your favorites! And, for bonus points, who’s your favorite author in this genre?

Half Wolf cover reveal

Half WolfI’m still plugging away at the first draft of the first book my new Alpha Underground series. Fen has been a joy to write about…so much of a joy in fact that she seems to add to my word count whenever I attempt to wrap her story up.

“I’ll buy you a pretty, pretty cover if you’ll let me rest my wrists and resolve this novel,” I bartered.

“Maybe,” Fen answered.

So, I bought her a cover. Whether she’ll let me out of her grasp anytime soon is another matter.

More seriously, what do you think of this amazing cover designed by the talented Rebecca Frank? If you’re an author in need of some literary artwork, I highly recommend her — her prices are fair, her work is fast, her covers are fabulous. What more do you need to know?

For readers — stay tuned next week for an unpolished excerpt from Fen’s first draft!

Name that book

Alpha AscendantI’m itching to see what my amazing cover designer comes up with to illustrate the tough halfie I’ve been writing about all winter. But before I can ask Rebecca to put her talents to work, I need to settle on a title. Maybe you can help?

Here’s a quick poll with my top four choices. Does one of them jump out at you? Or perhaps you hate them all? If you feel particularly moved, feel free to comment here as well. I’m curious to find out what you think!
