Sentient plants have consumed most of the earth, so the tops of skyscrapers are the safest spot for the average human (or dragon) to live.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-649\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/sunsphere.jpg\" alt=\"Sunsphere\" width=\"883\" height=\"498\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/sunsphere.jpg 883w, https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/sunsphere-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/sunsphere-768x433.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 883px) 100vw, 883px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/?page_id=645\">Incendiary Magic<\/a> (coming in the Fire Kissed anthology in August) stars Mason &#8212; the Lord Dragon who lives in the picturesque Sunsphere. In the real world, this structure was built for the 1982 World Fair and boasts a gold-windowed sphere with an observation deck that holds 86 people.
