But over the last nine months, I stumbled across quite a few that sucked me back in. Here are my favorites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3cXMrfn\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2283\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/charlotte-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"A Study in Charlotte\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/charlotte-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/charlotte.jpg 315w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3cXMrfn\">A Study in Charlotte<\/a> is true to and at the same time better than the original Sherlock Holmes. It really worked having the protagonist be Watson rather than Holmes (the way most modern reincarnations spin it), while Holmes becomes female without losing any of the original complexities. The entire series is page-turning!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38PSsra\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2284\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/stars-194x300.jpg\" alt=\"Navigating the Stars\" width=\"194\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/stars-194x300.jpg 194w, https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/stars.jpg 293w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hacking plus archaeology made <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38PSsra\">Navigating the Stars<\/a> a must-read for me.\u00a0I particularly liked the way long travel times exacerbated the normal teenage angst resulting from a parent-mandated move.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2U6clF3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2285\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/deceivers-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"The Deceivers\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/deceivers-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/deceivers.jpg 317w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fast, fun, and ethically gray, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2U6clF3\">The Deceivers<\/a> is a bit like Harry Potter crossed with the Gallagher Girls, but a little darker than both. A thoroughly satisfying read!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/33pgnMP\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2286\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/lies-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"Little White Lies\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/lies-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/lies.jpg 315w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/33pgnMP\">Little White Lies<\/a> was definitely a page turner, and I enjoyed the Gilmore-Girls-esque storyline and setting. I felt like the mystery aspect slightly took away from the emotional resonance at times, but only a little.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3b0pzd0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2287\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/loved-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"To All the Boys I've Loved Before\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/loved-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/loved.jpg 315w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3b0pzd0\">To All the Boys I&#8217;ve Loved Before<\/a> felt nothing like the blurb hook and title suggested it would. Instead, the true story was a Little Women-esque tale of sisterhood. Very sweet.<\/p>\n<p>Now over to you. Have you read any young adult books that gripped you recently?
