Which is a long way of saying &#8212; two-thirds of my recommendations this time around are novellas. I hope you like the format as much as I do!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2DUxNFO\">Romancing the Werewolf<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2DVuI8d\">How to Marry a Werewolf<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Voo2KD\">Romancing the Inventor<\/a> by Gail Carriger are all delightful, but the first one I listed is probably my favorite. These are all set in her steampunk world.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2LyxsyG\">Here There Be Monsters<\/a> by Meljean Brook is a really fun short set in the Iron Seas world.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2LuwdAt\">Beast<\/a> by Christine Pope is a very hooky sci-fi romance (and\u00a0<strong>free<\/strong> on Amazon at the time of this post).<\/p>\n<p>Okay, enough of novellas. On to longer works!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1838\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/sweepoftheblade.jpg\" alt=\"Sweep of the Blade\" width=\"207\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/sweepoftheblade.jpg 207w, http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/sweepoftheblade-188x300.jpg 188w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 207px) 100vw, 207px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sweep of the Blade is the fourth book in Ilona Andrews&#8217; Innkeeper Chronicles. If you haven&#8217;t read the others, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VRAOka\">you&#8217;ll probably want to start at the beginning<\/a> (although this book follows a side character and may be understandable anyway). If you <em>have<\/em> read the others, though, now&#8217;s the time to <a href=\"http:\/\/innkeeper.ilona-andrews.com\/category\/sweep-of-the-blade\/?order=asc\">read the newest installment free on their website<\/a> before they take it down to polish for publication. Spoiler: it is a delight!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VajAKn\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1839\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/polarisrising.jpg\" alt=\"Polaris Rising\" width=\"306\" height=\"475\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/polarisrising.jpg 306w, http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/polarisrising-193x300.jpg 193w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 306px) 100vw, 306px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VajAKn\">Polaris Rising<\/a> by Jessie Mihalik is quite possibly my favorite book of the last six months. It slid right into that sweet spot between space opera and science-fiction romance where you get a happily ever after at the end of a lot of fun adventure. Highly recommended.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VT0soI\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1840\" src=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/siteunseen.jpg\" alt=\"Site Unseen\" width=\"241\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/siteunseen.jpg 241w, http:\/\/aimeeeasterling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/siteunseen-181x300.jpg 181w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 241px) 100vw, 241px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally, if <a href=\"https:\/\/books2read.com\/u\/mqVEG1\">my recent release<\/a> sucked you into archaeological mysteries, here&#8217;s a recommendation (although without any fantasy or werewolves, alas!). <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VT0soI\">Site Unseen<\/a> by Dana Cameron sucked me in&#8230;and is currently free with Kindle Unlimited.
